The Replace Numbers feature allows you to swap an active phone number with a new one without rebuilding your inbound and outbound configurations from scratch.
This is useful when you need to change a number but want to keep the same routing logic, IVR setup, queues, and outbound rules.
Go to Settings → Voice → Phone Numbers → Replace Numbers
In the Configured numbers list, click on the active number whose configuration you want to remove or replace.
Select the new number you want to use instead from the Not Configured list. (After selecting both numbers, both phone numbers will appear in the center column under Mappings.)
Before submitting, choose what should happen after the replacement:
Keep old as incoming - The old number remains active for inbound calls but inherits the new configuration.
Keep old as unconfigured - The old number is reset and removed from active service.
Click Submit to finalize the swap.
💡Useful Tip 1: You can replace multiple phone numbers at the same time by creating several mappings before submitting.
💡Useful Tip 2: Use the configuration icons in the Configured Numbers list to quickly see how each phone number is currently set up (inbound, outbound, group routes, caller ID, etc.).
