Where to Find Spy, Whisper, and Barge in the Squaretalk Platform
The Squaretalk Platform allows you, by default, to monitor live calls using Spy, Whisper, and Barge options.
These tools help you support agents in real time without interrupting the customer experience.
What Are Spy, Whisper, and Barge?
These are live call monitoring features commonly used in contact centers:
Spy – Listen to an active call silently (the agent and caller won’t hear you).
Whisper – Speak to the agent during a call without the customer hearing you.
Barge – Join the call as a third participant (both agent and customer can hear you).
You can find these buttons inside the Monitor tab, in the Agent Monitor page.
Steps
Open the Monitor tab from the main menu and go to Agent Monitor.
Locate the agent you want to monitor in the list.
Look for the pinned Actions column on the right side of the table.
These buttons appear next to the agent only when the agent is on an active call.
