Squaretalk provides storage notifications to ensure administrators are always aware of their current usage and can take action before limits are reached.
These notifications appear across the platform and through external channels.
📌 Note: Only users with Admin permissions can see storage notifications.
In the Platform
Storage alerts are visible in two main places:
Storage Settings Page
Find it in the Settings → General → Storage.
Top Banner Across the Platform
A pop-up notification banner appears at the top of every page the admin visits.
This ensures visibility regardless of where you are working
The banner can be dismissed
📌 Note: Dismissing the banner hides it only for the current threshold level.
If usage drops and later rises above the same level again, the banner will reappear.
Notifications are triggered automatically based on storage usage:
70% — Informational
At this level, the system notifies you that storage is filling up.
You should consider upgrading your plan to prevent automatic archiving of older data.
80% — Warning
At this stage, storage is running low.
It is recommended to contact your account manager or upgrade your plan via the Portal to avoid disruptions.
95% — Critical
The storage limit is almost reached.
You must upgrade your plan to restore full capacity.
📌 Note: If no action is taken, the system will automatically start archiving older data to free up space for new recordings.
In addition to in-app alerts, the system also sends notifications via the Portal when:
storage usage reaches 95%, or
the system predicts storage will run out within 30 days
At the same time, an email notification is automatically sent, informing you about the situation and prompting action.
You now know where to find storage notifications and how the system alerts you as your storage usage increases.
