How to Enable & Manage Internal Chats: Real-Time Team Communication Inside the Squaretalk Platform

Internal Chat brings secure, real-time team communication directly into the Squaretalk workspace.

No more switching between tools. No more lost conversations.

Your team can now collaborate, escalate issues, and coordinate live, all inside the platform where work happens.


How to Enable Internal Chat

📌 Note: Admin permissions are required to activate this feature.

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Navigate to Settings → Internal Chat → Configuration

  3. Enable Internal Chat and save the changes

Once enabled, the feature becomes available immediately for all users inside your system. (Check the chat icon that will appear in the top banner, next to the phone icon.)



What Users Can Do - Discover the Main Features

  1. Send Direct Messages (DMs)

Users can send direct messages to colleagues within the system.

To start a chat, just go to People and select a user you want to start a conversation with.

  1. Visibility by Group

Agents will see users within their assigned group, improving relevant collaboration.

  1. Enable Push Notifications

Users can enable real-time alerts by clicking the Three Dots (⋯) and enabling Push Notifications under Settings. This ensures instant updates during live operations.
