How to Create and Customize a Monitor View
Squaretalk lets you personalize your Monitor tab so you can track exactly what matters: agents, queues, or messaging performance.
Instead of using the default view, you can build your own monitor layout with the KPIs and columns you want.
Create a New Monitor View
- Open the Monitor tab from the main menu.
- Click on the “+” button next to “Agents”, “Queues”, “Messaging” to create a new view.
- Give your monitor view a name. (example: Morning Shift, Sales Team Live, or Support Overview). Choose and rearrange your KPIs.
- Click Save.

Your custom monitor view is now available and ready to configure.
Customize the Monitor (Columns & KPIs)
Once your monitor view is created, you can adjust what you see.
- Click the arrow next to the monitor, then choose “Edit” to change the monitor name and rearrange KPIs.
- By default, monitor views are personal. If your organization allows sharing, you can make the view visible to other users.

- Drag and drop columns in the breakdown view below the KPIs to change their order, or just deselect the irrelevant ones for your operations. (Click on “Columns” to view the drop-down menu)

- View detailed Agent or Queue information. Simply click the agent or queue row you want to review to open the side panel and view performance statistics, activity breakdown, and all chat-related KPIs.

Export the Monitor View
If you need to share results with a manager or save performance data:
- Set the view and filters you want.
- Click Export.
- Download the report in XLSX format.

Your Monitor tab is now tailored to your workflow and you can update it anytime as your team grows or priorities change.
