How to Create and Manage Announcements
Announcements let you play a recorded message to callers and automatically route them to the next step in your call flow.
This article explains how to create and delete announcements in the Squaretalk Platform.
Step-by-Step: Create a New Announcement
Go to Settings → Voice → Announcements and click “+ Add Announcement”
💡Useful Tip 1: To edit an Announcement, simply click the Announcement row to open the side panel with all Announcement settings.
Add a Description that will help you identify the Announcement easily later.
Under Recording, select an existing audio file or upload a new one from your device.
Define the Destination of the call after the announcement finishes playing.
Audio File Requirements
For the Announcement to work properly, the audio file must meet these specifications:
File type: .wav
Frequency: 8000 Hz
Bitrate: 16-bit
Channel: Mono
Files that do not meet these requirements may not play correctly.
How to Delete an Announcement
You cannot delete an Announcement if it is currently in use.
To check this, review the Used in column to see which routes or flows must be unassigned first.
Once completed, click on the trash bin icon under the Actions column to delete the Announcement.
