How to Create a Contact (Manual & Bulk Upload)
To expand your contacts list, the Squaretalk Platform allows you to create contacts manually or upload a full list in bulk.
This is useful for building your customer database and enabling quick click-to-call or messaging actions.
Go to the Contacts tab from the main menu.
Click “+ Add Contact”.
Enter the contact details, such as:
Assign a Tag.
Click Save.
✅ Your new contact is now stored and searchable.
If you have a large number of contacts, you can upload them all at once using the “Import contacts” button.
Steps
Open the Contacts tab and click “Import contacts”.
Assign at least one tag to the list and choose the action if duplicate contacts are found in the system:
Select your contact file (XLS or CSV format).
Map your fields by selecting how Squaretalk should read the uploaded data (for example: Name, Email, Number). Make sure you select a Number field.
Confirm the upload.
📌 Important: The Number field is mandatory. Without it, the system cannot complete the import, and your team won’t be able to place calls from these contacts.
Squaretalk will automatically create contacts based on the uploaded list.
